You cannot defeat sin by running away from it. The reason I say this is because running from sin is impossible.  This world is a capsule of sin in so many aspects and you living on this planet puts you in the dead center of it.  Notice I did not say there is no way to overcome sin, I’m just saying that running is not the way to do so.

You may have heard this before,  “Darkness is not something that self sufficiently exists, it is the absence of something.”  That something is light.  Something interesting is that God says He is light in 1 John 1:5 and in Him darkness can’t exist.

The next time you find yourself battling a problem, sin, pain, hurt, or any other controlling issue, remember not to run away, but instead run into the arms of light, where those things can’t exist.
